I just bought a new MacBook Pro 17" w/ 4GB Ram AND the 7200 rpm HD and installed Logic 8 on this factory fresh laptop. I'll see if my Apple buddy can shed some light on this.

Not sure if this analogy makes sense to me- If you have more/faster processing power, shouldn't your system run without crashing/overloading as much? granted everything is configured properly.įaster processing speed only does that: process. If you want power, be ready for bumps in the road. A Ferrari doesn't run smoother than a volkswagen, far from it, in fact it is quite the opposite. That's a huge misconception in the computer world to think that a more powerful system will run smoother.
